______________________________________________________________________________

Have a question not listed below?

Email it to cambridgefiredept@yahoo.com or call the fire station at 608-423-3511

What training is required to become a member of the CVFD?

Entry Level Firefighter training course

What is the minimum age requirement for CVFD membership?

You must be 21 years of age to become a member of the CVFD

What are the minimum participation requirements?

The success of the CVFD is directly attributable to the commitment of its volunteer members and the financial support and involvement of the local area community.

Strictly volunteer, members respond to fire calls as their personal and professional schedules permit.

There are generally one business and two training meetings every month and members are expected to attend the majority of these meetings to meet statutory requirements and maintain current training levels.

Throughout the year there are several events sponsored by the community, local businesses or directly by the department that raise necessary funding for the department or increase awareness of fire safety throughout the community. Once again, department members participate in these events as their personal and professional schedules permit.
